This year, we are really focusing on how we give back to our community. Each quarter, as a part of our RiskSOURCE Cares program, the office splits into four teams to go out and volunteer in the local community.
This quarter, the Baby Burritos went to Matthew 25: Ministries and spent time sorting clothes to be sent to communities in need.
Matthew 25: Ministries began as the result of a the genius of Rev. Wendell Mettey. Rev. Metty made a trip to Nicaragua in 1990 with a group of doctors and nurses to Nicaragua in 1990 and after seeing the seemingly endless poverty and devastation, Rev. Mettey promised he would find a way to help the people of Nicaragua and others in need.
Rev. Mettey developed a system to recover excess products which were deemed no longer useful by U.S. corporations, and redistribute these items to people in desperate poverty. Matthew 25 has now grown into an international
organization serving over 160 million pounds of relief and aid to over 60 countries. Find out more about Matthew 25: Ministries here…
