We are well past a month of working remotely, socially distancing and following our stay-at-home order. Some of us are learning a new way to work, there are those less fortunate who are out of work, and then there are the essential employees who are on the frontline.
We think of the those workers being in healthcare, grocery and delivery services but America is an intricate place and there is actually a long list of industries considered essential.
It’s important to recognize that these businesses carry on while working through the challenges that COVID-19 has delivered. Restaurants are adapting new business models to stay afloat and the truckers that keep the pipelines full with supplies are traveling through a shuttered world, at times unable to grab a bite on the road or use the restroom. We’re an insurance company and we’re also considered essential. We’re here for families, and businesses, through their most difficult and challenging times. This is no different.
